The memorandum, signed today by representatives of the ‘Privredna akademija’ University and the ‘Milutin Milanković’ High School Center in Milići, represents a bridge between secondary and higher education
With the aim of improving the educational system and enabling better conditions for students and future university students, the University and the High School Center signed a Memorandum of Cooperation to provide additional opportunities to high school students, so that they can better prepare for continuing their education and professional development.
‘The university has a responsibility to participate in the education of young people even before they become students. Through this Memorandum, we want to give them insight into the academic world, but also to prepare them for faculty challenges through practice, scientific research, and cooperation with our professors,’ said Željko Petrić, Rector of the ‘Privredna akademija’ University.
The Director of the High School Center, Marko Golić, believes that such Memorandums are an excellent opportunity for students to ‘feel’ in time what awaits them in further, faculty education.
‘This partnership brings numerous benefits to our students. It will enable them to gain additional knowledge, get to know the academic community, and more easily decide on their future professional path. We are grateful to the University for its support and look forward to future projects,’ pointed out Golić.
This cooperation represents an important step towards the modernization of education and the creation of a stronger link between secondary and higher education, which will contribute in the long term to higher quality schooling and greater competitiveness of young people in the labor market.
