The University “Privredna akademija” of Brčko District of BiH and the Faculty of Technical Sciences of the University invite all interested parties to the First University Conference titled “SUSTAINABLE ENERGY DEVELOPMENT IN BIH” viewed through the “5E” effect, which will be held on 20.04.2024, Saturday, starting at 10:00 AM, on the University premises.
The topic of the conference is extremely important, especially in light of the current global energy shortage which has serious consequences, including the waging of wars. Our goal is to promote sustainable development, and a key factor in this is energy. We believe it is necessary to include various profiles of experts, including engineers, economists, lawyers, environmental protection experts, managers, and other relevant actors.
The motto of the conference will be “Sustainable energy development through the ‘5E’ effect”, which includes the following areas:
- Energy
- Economics
- Ecology
- Efficiency
- Education
Without adequate education, we will not be able to solve this serious problem. It is necessary to reduce the consumption of fossil fuels and use more renewable energy sources, keeping in mind that energy losses in all segments of society are large. We want to gather experts, representatives of the economy, state institutions, students, and all interested parties in order to analyze the energy situation in BiH through dialogue, debates, and the presentation of professional papers and to reach useful conclusions and proposals for sustainable energy development.
We expect your response and active participation in the exchange of opinions, all with the aim of improving the life and well-being of all citizens of BiH. Also, we invite you to submit your scientific-professional papers which we will publish in our journal.
The conference will consist of two parts:
First part (introduction, presentation of submitted papers, presentation by Prof. Dr. Dragan Škobalj);
Second part (presentations by the authors of the papers, presentation by professors, panel discussion of participants, adoption of conclusions).
